Teen Therapy

If your teen is struggling, you’re not alone and you don’t have to figure this out on your own. I support teens navigating anxiety, perfectionism, academic pressure, friendship struggles, family stressors, and big life transitions.

The teens I work with are often high-achieving, thoughtful, and carrying more than they let on. Maybe your teen is putting intense pressure on themself at school, having a hard time managing friendships, or lashing out in ways that are not typical for them. My approach is direct, warm, and focused on giving your teen the space and tools they need to feel more confident, capable, and supported.

Girls Taking Selfies

Note on my family systems approach: I offer therapy that’s warm, grounded, and focused on helping your teen feel more confident, connected, and in control amidst the chaos. My job isn’t to fix your child—it’s to help them discover their own strength, and to help your whole family breathe a little easier.

I believe that teens make the most meaningful progress when parents are actively involved in the process. At the same time, I also believe that teenagers need a space that’s entirely their own where they can explore their thoughts and feelings without the pressure of the family dynamic in the room. I require family sessions ever 6-8 weeks (frequency may change depending on the family system and dynamics) with parents to ensure everyone is on the same page about facilitating change and fostering wellness. Campsen reserves the right to refer families to trusted colleagues should the family system benefit from additional support.
