About
Therapy with Grace
I am not the stare-in-silence and nod type of therapist. I appreciate therapy for the real talk, the quiet realizations, and the space to breathe away from everyday life. My goal in therapy is to hold space while also challenging you to uncover parts about yourself that have remained unseen. By giving those parts of yourself a little bit of spotlight in the therapy room, they help you gain insight to make change in your everyday life. Together we acknowledge the heaviness that life can bring while also acknowledging that finding joy (even the small wins) is an act of self-care.

My Background
Growing up as the daughter of an endocrinologist and a physical therapist, I was immersed early on in conversations about the human body, healing, and the intersections between physical and emotional health. From listening to stories about chronic health conditions, injury, and recovery at the dinner table, I developed an appreciation for how stress, trauma, and life transitions live not just in the mind, but in the body as well. This early exposure shaped my belief that meaningful healing happens when mental and physical health are treated as interconnected parts of a whole person - a perspective that continues to guide my work as a therapist today.
I completed my undergraduate degree at Creighton University in Omaha, NE, (Roll Jays!) with a double major is psychology and business administration. I landed in Maryland for my master's program at Towson University in Clinical Psychology. Between undergraduate and graduate school, I have participated on various research and case management projects but found a passion for trauma-informed clinical work.

Internal Family Systems: A Clinical Model for Treatment
Therapeutic Modalities
At Campsen Wellness, therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. I integrate several evidence-based and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches to meet each client's individual needs, goals, personality, and stage of life.
My primary therapeutic approaches include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed interventions, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I may also incorporate creative and art-based interventions when they can help clients express, process, or understand experiences that are difficult to put into words.
My formal graduate training was primarily grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which continues to inform much of my clinical work. Over time, I have expanded my approach to incorporate trauma-focused, values-based, parts-informed, and experiential interventions.
The goal is not to fit you into a particular therapeutic model. Instead, I use these approaches as tools to help therapy fit you.
Our Story
Many struggle alone and never get help for their mental health. It can be incredibly isolating, stressful, and anxiety-provoking to talk about everything going on in your brain while trying to navigate your everyday life. Today's world is working to destigmatize mental health and we want to be a stepping stone in your personal journey.
Campsen Wellness was named after several loved ones who inspired a passion for helping others and normalizing conversations around mental health.
Campsen was created to aid the lifelong learners, the overthinkers, and the deep-feelers of the world. We aim to provide multiple high-quality and evidence-based services in an effort to provide individuals a central location to engage on a journey towards wellness. It can be daunting to begin the journey towards wellness.

Campsen Values
At Campsen, our vision is to provide trauma-informed mental health resources to all. Our mission is to create a world of people with more curiosity, kindness, and insight.
Our Commitment to Multicultural Humility
At Campsen Wellness, we are committed to multicultural humility, recognizing that cultural awareness is an ongoing process rather than a fixed skill. We appreciate the unique identities of every client that comes through the door. We are committed to lifelong learning about multiculturalism, recognizing intersectionality, reflecting on biases, and improving the well-being of our community.
When moments of difference or disconnection arise, we approach them with compassion, self-reflection, education, and a shared commitment to doing better together. We believe that growth happens through curiosity and open dialogue, and we strive to create a space where both understanding and learning can take place.
We aim to make our spaces healing, safe, and restorative.
Outside of Therapy
As many of her current clients already know, Grace spends a lot of time with her beloved dog Lottie who has yet to pass her therapy dog certification. Grace and Lottie love to go on hikes and walks until Lottie says she's done by lying on the ground. When she's not spending time with Lottie, she enjoys a good book, baking (current obsession is sourdough), traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
