Workshop Details
In Parallel: Understanding Mother-Daughter Dynamics

Description:
A group of 6-15 participants engaged in a psychoeducation workshop to address dynamics between mothers and daughters. The mothers workshop will meet biweekly on Saturday mornings at 9am for 90 minutes. The daughters workshop will meet Thursdays at 6pm for 90 minutes. This will be a virtual 8-part series over the course of 4 months. In the first 45-60 minutes, the workshop will focus on psychoeducation and the second 30-45 minutes will focus on discussion and skill-building.

Purpose & Objectives
The purpose of this group is for participants to develop insight about mother-daughter relationship dynamics, utilize tools and skills provided during the workshop and feel empowered to connect with their mother or daughter authentically.

Build awareness of stress and emotional triggers. Practice ways to take space, regulate, and respond with intention rather than raw emotion.

Increase awareness of inherited messages and societal standards that are unrealistic and harmful. Learn how to shift toward more compassionate, values-aligned ways of relating to one another.

Develop clearer, more respectful boundaries and communication
-
Learn practical language and tools for expressing needs, setting limits, and navigating differences while maintaining connection
-

FAQs
Can I join if my mother or daughter is not planning to join?
Of course! Adult daughters and mothers are welcome to participate independently. Participants may enroll on their own; joint participation is not required.
Can I join from any state?
Yes! This is an educational workshop so we are not bound by state laws that require clinicians to be licensed in your state.
Is this a good replacement for therapy?
This workshop is meant to be supportive, educational, and connection-focused, not a replacement for therapy. We won’t be doing deep emotional processing or individual therapeutic work. Instead, we’ll share tools, language, and perspectives that participants can take with them and use outside of the workshop in their mother-daughter relationships and everyday lives. If deeper or ongoing support is needed, we encourage participants to seek individual or family therapy.
How much does it cost and how do I pay?
Each workshop session is $25. You can sign up for sessions in the series that are interesting to you or engage with the entire 8-part series. Sessions are limited to 15 people to ensure that it is a personalized and well-rounded experience for each individual.
Does Campsen Wellness provide mother-daughter therapy?
